GravityFracture for emergency disposal

The 2011 nuclear disaster at Fukushima underscores the need for an emergency disposal solution at a nuclear power plant to address the need to immediately dispose of radioactive cooling water or solids before the materials are released into the biosphere. The Fukushima accident resulted in the release of significant volumes of radioactive water used to cool the reactors and spent fuel pool into the ocean. If a GravityFracture wellbore was located onsite the radioactive water could have been disposed into the GravityFracture and not released into the ocean.
